Mashed, salad, fries, whatever - all good, any day.
BUT:
What I've always despised is peeling the spuds - until now.

I found the Rotato Express - a simple & wonderful kitchen tool.



I found one and also spare blades for it at fleabay for good prices.

NOW...

I am able to prepare raw spuds really, really fast & with minimal effort - no drudgery anymore.
Hopefully this info is useful or helpful for someone else here who also hates peeling spuds !!

Did any of you ever use it? any remarks?

Since the modern adblockers can not be installed on K-Meleon, this gains some interest as it is system-wise adblocker.

NOTE: I have been using K-Meleon (both Goanna and 76) for more than a week now, after a year break (PC lost, new PC , Win10, Palemoon. etc)
But then one day i again started using KM and believe me it is way more faster than any other browser, I repeat FASTEST browser. Moreover , more tha n 95% pages load flawlessly, the only problem comes when some modern security check thing comes or may be some social media, my analysis is based on my experience.

I have used Palemoon, Basilisk but no way the options and control and speed that Km offers, those lazy dogs cannot beat KM Lizard.

The (on my PC) WINE easily opens winfile.exe.

Nowadays I mostly use LibreWolf & Vivaldi under Linux.

Vivaldi's start page is mostly OK, but the thumbnails are too big and even using the 'tiny' setting it goes off-page.

With LibreWolf I started with FVD Speed Dial, but it doesn't do folders & has limited customization options, tried many others that didn't ring my bell - then tried HumbleNewTabPage which is uncluttered, but TOO minimal !!

In the best of all worlds I'd love to have a start page for LibreWolf with very small thumbnails & the ability to have folders so that all my faves can appear neatly without having to scroll & search - then I'd actually use it the most.

BTW - Speed Start is what I used with Basilisk and it was really perfect for me, but outdated & cannot be used with LibreWolf, sadly.

Does anyone here know of such a thing ??

Changing situations in my life have forced me to make use of air beds - sometimes for years at a time.

Around 20 years back I ended up living in an ancient camper for a long time.
Having little money I got what I could reach & afford, a Coleman air bed.
It started leaking after ~1 month & became useless soon after.

Next I got an Intex one from a box store & it also lasted about the same length of time while being far less comfortable.

Side note=>
An important result of the above was remembering how vinyl is made to have a sort of soft, flocked texture...it is the same material which has been sort of scraped between heavy, heated rollers which thins & weakens it.
Having remembered that, I have always used air beds with the flocked side down ever since to avoid the weakness of direct contact.

Back to the 2nd go-round now...
Being aggravated by then I got some PVC cement & waterbed material - found
& patched the leaks in the Coleman bed, and then had a related thought strike me=>
What if I used the trashy Intex bed as a cover of sorts ??

So the dead Intex got sliced open & the Coleman one went inside it.
That combo gave me ~6 months of good sleeps...phew.

By then I had made some earnings & found a good deal on an Aerobed.
All these years later that one is still with me & in a pinch can be set up in minutes - but it is a twin size & only stands 4" tall, so only good for 1 person.

Next time around - moving, etc. dictated the need for a larger air bed & since evilzon prime was an option we got a queen sized one from there.
The cost was reasonable & it had a built-in 120V pump.

That one lasted throughout the move but needed topping off daily until it got so bad that it deflated in ~90 minutes max.

Important details:
That bed was being used in a room with clean, plush carpeting AND on top of a king sized comforter so as to make 100% certain nothing would touch it.

Reluctantly, it got replaced with another using the same style built-in pump, with the dead one under it as yet another layer of protection.
That bed still (sort of...) gives a full night of decent sleep - but is notably squishy by morning & must be filled up again before the next sleep time.

Contacting that company did result in a replacement being sent, thankfully - and since the one in use can still sort of last a full night, the replacement is on standby for now.

Another important detail to share:
The queen sized beds have also been protected by being sort of cocooned inside king sized comforters - both to avoid contact & because air beds aren't warm enough if used uncovered in our cold climate.

Finally I decided to indulge my curiosity & dismantled the built-in 'pump' in the 100% flat bed & THAT explains LOTS of things so far (I'm not done tearing into its innards yet...).

The 'pump' is just a tiny blower set up with a knob which both controls the inflate & deflate modes & the whole thing depends upon a single greased O-ring to hold the air captive...Oooopsy - an obvious point of failure.

I know this ain't a great pic, but ALL these 'new' 'pumps' look like this:



Please note the wonderfully pretty green flocked top of that bed.

The black rectangle is the 'pump' & a better pic would also reveal the little hatch with the cord inside as well as the rotary knob.

As part of my air bed future I'm getting a can of PVC cement & an external 120V inflator which will hopefully facilitate further testing & maybe even a lasting repair method.

My hope is that if I can totally seal off the opening left by extracting the crappy 'pump' - then use the manual filler neck instead it just may show up what is so poor about this design...or not - but worthy of a try IMO.

Edit > Preferences (F2) >> Browsing and click Set as Default Browser ... but I hardly use KM anymore due to many web pages not working correctly these days. Mostly use the New Moon browser by roytam1 at the MSFN site for my Windows XP setup.

I have tried to make New Moon the default browser but KM still remains the default browser. I can't uncheck anything with KM at the 'Edit > Preferences (F2) >> Browsing page' ... is there another setting or way to 'undo' having KM as the default browser?

I have checked to make New Moon my default browser but it doesn't change KM from being the default browser.

I need to update my Visa card expiration date at Amazon. Amazon "Your Payments"
lists all your credit card information. When I click the Edit button (see image)
a "busy"icon appears for a few seconds and then it goes away. The Edit box is not
visible. Popups are not blocked.

Ich komm nicht mehr hinein ::o, weil ich mich schon lang nicht mehr eingeloggt habe, meine Zugangsdaten auf einem längst plötzlich eingegangenen (und leider mangels technischer Hilfe noch nicht ausgelesenen) PC schlummern und ich mir so etwas nie merke. Hier wird mir wenigstens angezeigt, dass mjeine E-Mail-Adresse belegt ist, also gibt es mein Konto mit ebendieser. Mehr weiß ich aber nicht, und eine Funktion zum Zurücksetzen des Passworts kann ich hier nicht entdecken.

Anlass: irgendwann hat K-Meleon nicht mehr funktioniert, also hab ich eine Neuinstallation versucht. War scheinbar gelungen, erst später bin ich daraufgekommen (ich bin halt ein DAU), dass es eine Portable-Version ist. Die schließlich heute plötzlich den Geist aufgegeben hat. Wie und warum: keine Ahnung, die Exe reagiert einfach nicht mehr (unter Windows 10).

Hier steht auf der Einstiegsseite etwas von "K-Meleon 76.2 (...) Inoffizielle Builds von roytam1, stabiler als veraltetes Release 75.1". Okay, also klick darauf, und ... ich steh im Wald. Alles nur englisch (das wär kein Problem, aber es ist sich jedem Wörterbuch verweigerndes TECHNISCHES Englisch), und offenbar sind da irgendwelche Dinge aus einer vorhandenen Installation (die ich eigentlich nicht hab ... glaub ich) zu entfernen und dann zu ersetzen. Aber ich versteh nur Bahnhof. Was genau bedeutet da "STICKY:", mit Goanna kann ich bei mir gar nichts entdecken, was bedeutet ... sinnlos. Ich brauche eine Schritt-für-Schritt-Beschreibung KONKRETER HANDGRIFFE. "Da musst du dann das [klingonisch] bei dem [klingonischer] in das [noch klingonischer] hinein(oderwasauchimmer)dingsen ["ding" am klingonischsten] hilft mir nicht einmal ansatzweise.

Was kann ich tun :S,
a) um mich wieder einzuloggen, und
b) um eine funktionierende Browserversion zu installieren?

under Windows 7 the menu and bookmark bars (lines under the windows bar, usually blue) were grey.
After moving to Windows 11 they are white.

I could not find any settings to change the colour.
Any hints?
