I was a little hesitant to download it but I didn't see anything unusual when I installed it ... it wants to install a tool bar and things but I unchecked all that. I downloaded three videos in mp4 and flv and it was simple to use and the videos are great. I think I will continue to use it for now. I will work with what you posted about the Windows tmp files. I don't think it put any spyware on my computer but watch the toolbar thing unless you want to try it out ... I don't like toolbars myself but it seems safe.
