I have K-Meleon set up to open the previous session at start up. But here's the issue. I ran across a page and it must have something screwed up on it, 'cause it locked up my computer.

Usually no big deal. So I hit the red X in the upper right hand corner.

Then I close K-Meleon

When I go to reopen it, it says "Not shut down correct, do you want to resume where you left off. I hit "No," so then it asks, "Do you want to start my home page, which is set for the previous session. If I hit yes then once again, I'm locked up.

If I answer "no" it then boots me out of K-meleon. I see K-Meleon is running in the task manager, but I can't get into the browser.

It's like an bad loop. Is there anyway I can go in and change this in the files? Basically I'd like to see if I can change it so when I open K-Meleon I get a blank page.

If not I'm gonna have to reinstall everything from scratch. Something I'd like to avoid.

Open prefs.js (in your profile folder) with a notepad

delete the content of the prefs browser.startup.homepage replace "wwxwxx" string by ""

Start again K-Meleon. It ought to be ok

Thanks. It worked, but it didn't solve the problem so I had to reinstall K-Meleon

Really the pref is:

kmeleon.plugins.sessions.autoload

Change his boolean value from true to false.
Or directly unable Sessions plugin load changing:

kmeleon.plugins.sessions.load

from true to false.

If you like clear the Session loaded at startup reset (empty string or delete the pref) the pref:

kmeleon.plugins.sessions.openStart
