KM 153-Gecko1.9.1 with FlashBlock Plus?

Is there a way to enable flash block plus 1.0.2 on this version? It recognized the plugin, but no icon appeared and it's not operative. Too many changes, I guess. Any workarounds?

I don't quite understand.
There is a flashblock integrated, as in the original version.
Have you enabled flashblock in Preferences/Content filters,
and enabled javascript, which is needed ?
You speak about "flash block plus", but I could not find
this in Google.
To use another flashblock , the chrome would have
to be changed, and the other flashblock reintegrated.

Probably not - if You are referring to an ME version.

There are 3 versions of the chrome handling file.
Only the one that is using manifest files will do chrome handling like Firefox.
This version for manifests is used by all current official K-Meleons.
Only these handle adapted Firefox extensions that use Chrome/XUL.

Some of Hao's CCF and Fred's Unix versions have chrome handling that uses chrmlite.dll instead of chrome.dll. These will not handle XUL extensions.

AFAIK FlashBlock Plus is an adapted Firefox XUL extension, right?
If Hao or any did not do a complete recode - its interfaces waunt work.

p.s. That is why his adblockplus is stripped down to its JavaScript files.

@ Fred: I think this Google page has links.

@ Guenter

This finds Flashblock, but not Flasblock Plus 1.0.2.
When you put it in parentheses, Google does not find
"flashblock plus 1.0.2" .

Adblockplus is not absolutely necessary.
Go to Preferences/ContentFilters and enable CSS-filtering in addition to enabling Flashblock.
Almost all ads should disappear then.

Thanks to all of you for all your valuable info!

Just 'battening down the hatches' and exercising a bit of control over flash which has been repeatedly 'exploitable' over the recent months.

I'm now facing the same issue with ADBLOCK+ It detects the plugin but no icon shows up and no subscription page to a list.

@fred and chinarobin

Thanks a lot for your tips! Indeed, yes, I was installing BOTH and somehow muddled the message. Coffee is definitely not a satisfactory substitute for real sleep. :-)

Fred, your S202 version feels so much like the current 153 that it's uncanny. It makes one feel that 1.6 is just around the corner!

I've been installing KM in the machines of friends and fai¡mily who needed a speedy and intuitive browser. Many are now telling me that several sites that I don't use (Yahoo Mail, Bing, etc) are starting to "complain" in the last couple of weeks. I will probably end up installing Fred's version on their computers.
