Why is it that when I save an image, there is a lag of 3-4 seconds, everything essentially freezes up, and then I can continue doing other things?

Doesn't happen to me, using 98se... do you have lots of swapping going on all the time?
Gecko saves to a tempfile when downloading and when finished it moves the tempfile to the correct locations.
This can make the comp seem to freeze up for a while.
It seems odd that it would download it again, though... but i notice that it sometimes (if not always) does, even when it seems like it should be in the cache... i dunno.
I made a macro to use wget to grab images once, but i don't have it in my macros.cfg currently... maybe i'll reinstate it, though, if it's gonna use bandwidth either way... i'll post it here, if there's interest... it may help with the freeze-up, i guess...
