Maybe this is a term only used in Mozilla.
I miss in K-M the possibility for defining the way helper applications work.

f.e.
I would like to have Acrobat Reader to open when clicking on a link containing mime type application/pdf or file extension is pdf.

I don't wan't to use the plugin for pdf.

Is this possible?
If not, will there be support for it later?

Look at the Configure for Standalone Viewer section.
