Hi, chinarobin,
it's in the View Menu, right after ->Toolbars, Accelerator: Ctrl - Shift - s (in my german KM).
PLUS it's a command in the command list:
ID_VIEW_STATUS_BAR, which you can tie to a mouseGesture.

While not using the status bar can provide a bit more screen real estate it can also be a bit of a security tool as it can indicate what sites/pages are loading as well as the pad lock indicating weather a sit/page is encrypted and can also alert you to possibly bogus security cirtificates.

yeah,to get more room for web pages is what i want, but as you said, it sacrifys the loading information, i googled but olny extensions for fx not km to integrate the loading bar to adress bar, do u have any suggestions?
or, if not capable of that, i think the status bar is too empty, toolbar too crowd, we can place some button of small programs, extensions or plugins like screen-cut, agent changer.
could it be realized? i dont know how.
many thanks,

@ chinarobin
I think the KM status bar is not XUL based. Would require Dorian to do more programming to tie it tool bars, etc. I agree there seems to be some useable room on the bar. I just don't know how to use the room.

Interesting concerpt, I wonder if some one will be able to work it out. Meanwhile, and perhaps safer since it leaves to status bar in view, the tray bar can be hiddin by right clicking on the traybar > left click Properties > place a check mark beside "Auto-hide the taskbar" > Apply > OK. Then resize the screen and when you want to see the traybar just move the mouse to the bottom of the screen.

Hi,
maybe my thoughts in
this post, about possible new arrangements of the various bars' functions, get a new chance of being noticed in this context?
Cheers
