Searching the forum

There seems to be a problem with the search function of this forum. Searching for more than one term results in no hits. This, even when known terms are used.

There seems to be a solution on Phorom's website: http://www.phorum.org/phorum5/read.php?61,143436,143492#msg-143492

This could be the cause of duplicate questions and answers from the cranky.

Sounds like something to try. I wonder who has the authority to do that for our forum.

You can't find a thing using that search engine. You're better off using Google. grinning smiley

Forum Search is now fixed, now you can search more than one word.

Thanks to JackPots by found the solution.

Ah I can't believe that - YIPPEE!! *bounce* grinning smiley grinning smiley

Finally someone who's able to repair forum bugs grinning smiley
PLEASE - repair also the language bug that sends users into complete Nirwana:

There was a very long thread about that blindflug bug last year:
http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?3,98357

That happens when someone chooses as *forum* language one of the two "Deutsch (du)" settings. Then there's absolutely NO way to access the personal settings anymore and to get the forum navigation buttons back, it's not stored neither in cache nor cookies nor elsewhere, but probably somewhere on the sf server!!

The only way out is someone else giving you that direct link for rescue:
http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/control.php?0,panel=forum

If you have the rights, it shouldn't be overly difficult to delete the two language settings from the form, or is it?? *hoping*
There are 3 languages for german, which is IMHO nonsense anyway:
OK: Deutsch (Sie)
BUG: Deutsch (du - weiblich)
BUG: Deutsch (du - männlich)
It seems the forum software only has a translation table available for the (Sie) version, the others destroy all forum navigation and settings access.
