(New) Favorites

In Preferences what is the Folder for new Favorites?
Can anyone provide some examples about how to use this?
If it is a completely different set of Favorites from the default Favorites
is it the only one that would show up in K-Meleon if I use it?
Please provide any other possibly helpful information.
Thanks to everyone

Just to avoid misunderstandings before going into more details, since K-Meleon can use 3 different types:
Do you mean the Internet Explorer "IE Favorites" type? Or "Bookmarks"?
In the prefs (F2) you find option tabs for all 3 systems, or access them via the menu or their buttons.

The folder for new favorites is any folder you set up within the favorites folder and point to with the item in preferences. That folder will appear as a sub folder when you view favorites. The default is to have new favorites appear in the favorites folder itself. If you use the new favorites folder, any new favorites will appear there.

There are extensions which can provide more functions for favorites. They can be found here: http://kmext.sourceforge.net/ext4.htm
Look for "FavRenAdd Combo" and "FavAdd Plus NT | FavAdd Plus 9x".
