am now having a problem to login to faniq . when i click on the login using facebook button nothing really happens and the splash screen doesnt come up. could you please refer why am having this problem. i can load the same in mozilla. any help would be appreciated. thanking in advance

Which Mozilla did You use to get into the page?
Most browsers have Mozilla in their User Agent String.

The real "Mozilla's" development has been stopped at GRE version 1.7.13 in 2006.


This is definitely not a K-Meleon 1.5.4 BUG / I will move this thread to General.

JavaScript execution stops after the first error.
Have a look into error console of K-Meleon. See bottom.


The page uses AFAIK a JavaScript dialect that is understood by GRE 1.9 or newer.
K-Meleon 1.6 will use GRE 1.9.x.

You can IMHO access the page when You change to a K-Meleon 1.6alpha, a development version. I checked with one till it had to logg-in. See bottom.


Of the available K-Meleon 1.6 alpha versions I recommend prebeta alias cp4 from the "1.6a4 Preferences panel" thread in the Development Forum.

Thanks for ur support . am checking it out now

yeah so it worked out. but after logging into faniq, i reach this page sports bars where it shows "LOADING GAMES" endlessly and am not able to view them. While using other browsers like chrome or firefox it opens up instantly. What's wrong here. please do help. Just because of this problem i still continue to use firefox for playing faniq.
Any kind of help is appreciated.

I can not understand, reproduce nor confirm the problem.
After a few moments I get the following pic.

I used the newest 1.6.beta on XP pro SP3 with combination custom UserAgent =
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.16pre) Gecko K-Meleon/1.6.0 not Firefox/3.5.15

Only with K-Meleon 1.5.4. I can reproduce the continuous everlasting loading picture when I go to the URL You posted. BTW. FF and Chrome are also good browsers I just do not like their phoning home.

Go to menu:
Tools -> User Agent -> Custom...
And paste this text:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.16pre) Gecko K-Meleon/1.6.0 not Firefox/3.5.15

But I think this site not work fine with the old KM 1.5.4, try with KM 1.6.0 Beta.
You can found it for download in Home and Download sections of the KM website.

Since he didn't know anything yet about changing User Agent (=browser identification to webpages), it's probably easier to first try the usual one:
Tools > User Agent > Firefox

PS: I like that "K-Meleon not Firefox" line, brilliant idea, LOL!

1.) For fanIQ You need K-Meleon 1.6beta. Download page Keyword: Latest Development Release.

2.) You need to set the UserAgentString to Firefox (Menu: Tools -> User Agent).

The reason is that the site wants the newer JavaScript version used by K-Meleon 1.6, new Firefox 3+ and SeaMonkey 2.x. K-Meleon 1.5.4 cannot understand that.

You can try the same with Facebook. But I am not sure that this also works with Facebook.
