how do I add buttons for news and rss in version 9.0

Go to View-->Toolbars-->Customize.
toolbars.cfg opens.
Look for the lines

# News{
# macros(News)
# Read News
# mailnewshot.bmp[1]
# mailnewscold.bmp[1]
# }

# RSS{
# macros(RSS)
# RSS Feeds
# mailnewshot.bmp[2]
# mailnewscold.bmp[2]
# }

Delete the hashes ( # ).
The bitmaps may have other names(depending en the skin you use).

Close the browser first and save toolbars.cfg to its origin
(as "all files" not as "text).
Restart and the buttons are available, If you can't see them,
enable the "Mail and News bar" in View-->Toolbars.
