thanks, Hao, Dorian
5.2 have been very nice. I think 5.3 have more speed. I think something could be wrong with the bookmarks, or could it be only me. I replaced it with the one from 5.2 and it's working for me now........................thanks

Hi Hao,

thx for the nice improvements - some sites are working better now such as pixoh.com.
But nevertheless a few questions though:

- if one clicks on the flash button the button does not reveal its content: you cannot view the content

- as in the previous version CCF0.05.2 Active X doesn't work even after enabling it

- if I enable the bitmapped menus plugin the main bar with the text: File Edit View etc. is no longer visible (was not so before)

Hope you can help me.

I downloaded it and the only problem I found so far is a problem with flashblock. It blocks flash, but it doesn't show that buttons that I can click if I want flash animations to be displayed.I put older flashblock.jar and put older usercontent.css and it worked.

Bitmapped Menus dll possibly brocken - had empty menus when activated.
Might be system specific problem on my xp with old pc.

Remedy: i used that dll from kko version for testing new pref panel - probably any dll
from a another version by Dorian will help (in case others have that problem too).

This is the fastest browser Ive ever used. Even faster then opera which is impressive. I have a couple of questions though. It seems that the browser uses a large amount of memory. Even more then firefox. Which is bad for me cause I dont have a lot of memory. Is this just my experience or has everyone else had the same? I also havent been able to get the delete history to work. When I click on config history the dialog box has clear history disabled. Is there some setting I need to change? Anyways, this is a nice piece of software. Hopefully the official version will include some your mods to make it faster. Its nice not having to wait forever for a page to load!

i lost my menus when i changed some settings in all configuration pref. replaced it with the old. Memory have been my problem too, it's the same with firefox, when you browse with tabs and had more images. It does not release memory when you close the tab. In effect when you browse longer, you go slower. browser session max entries is set to default 50, maybe a lower no. could help. With slight calibration it still is a pretty fast nice browser..................thanks

It is not possible to start a new profile, as
ID_MANAGE_PROFILES does not work.
But otherwise a very nice version.
With wine in Linux it's not possible to write into
the address bar or go to an URL pasted into the bar.
URLs must be loaded using the URL macro by
CTRL + SHIFT + L .
This behavior is the same in all 1.0 versions. Maybe a dll
is called up that wine does not have.
Regards and thank you
Fred

Using IETab makes K-Meleon very very slow (win98se) and display all the pages only after right clicking and using a context menu (for example Properties). No way to go back to gecko.

An error when launching K-Meleon with RebarMenu.

If I validate bmpmenu, all the menu takes about 3 millimeters, and isn't usable.

Probably a dll missing or out of date.

A+

Just installed it. This is a good, fast build. It appears that this build resolves the 30-second delay problem that I've been getting in KMCCF 0.05.2 and earlier. However, typeahead find doesn't seem to be working.

is it just me, or does bookmarking not save the address, just saves the name in both fields (the name AND the address)?

Yes, it seems that bookmarking does not work correctly.

You can use the bookmarks.dll from 0.05.2 in the kplugins
folder, but this does not allow to select a bookmarks folder,
but only adds the new bookmark at the end of the bookmarks
list, and you must move it manually to the destination folder.
