Thanks JohnHell for the official release ... these flash versions are over the place ... now the "IE" final version number no longer matches the "Non IE" final version number.
Flash Player 14.0.0.176 (IE)
Flash Player 14.0.0.179 (Non IE)
All these versions mixed in with Beta versions from Adobe ... these releases are beyond crazy.

Paldies jums,
1.) Works in E:\K-Meleon74.final\browser\plugins\NPSWF32_15_0_0_170.dll
2.) XP PRO SP3. Causes error and cannot be extracted. 1.) enough?
Greetings from Germany

Tell me: Why?
I have hidden flash in Windows/root and put Your flash into K-Meleon 74 browser folder.
Plays Musik for me - so what works wrong when I use with K-Meleon?
BTW. It will probably work in any browser except IE and maybe Chrome.

Again I am confused over the Flash versions you are posting ... I'm sure you mean well but these versions are different from what I find elsewhere. I guess this is some sort of Beta version.
Right now as I post this ... the official flash version listed at the Adobe site is as follows:
Flash Player 15.0.0.152 (Win Firefox and Mac); 15.0.0.167 (Win IE)
At FileHippo the last flash version listed is:
Flash Player 15.0.0.183 Beta (IE)
I can't find any information on the version you posted ... maybe later today, I don't know ... it must be "very new".
I liked the "old system" where ndebord and JohnHell would post a "Final" version as they were released. If everyone likes the Beta versions also then like everything else in today's world ... "times have changed" ... just set in my ways to just wanting a "final version" every so often.
...

The above is the newest Beta, no Final.
The latest final release for FF or Opera Presto on Windows is still v15.0.0.152.
I agree that giving more detailed informations wouldn't hurt.

Yogi ... thank you for the clarification ... I figured it was probably Beta but I could find no information on it at this time in Google ... it will be there shortly I guess.
There seem to be many versions of Flash floating around at one time ... it seemed to always be that the IE and Opera flash version would have the same Final version number but earlier this year that seem to change, so those numbers no longer match and then all the Beta releases ... which I have no interest in.
I just like to wait for a final version ... makes life a little less complicated for me.
I am amazed that the Shockwave Player version hasn't changed for months ...
Shockwave Player 12.1.3.153 was released around 01 July 2014. That's hard to believe.

I only want to say that you should check this thread on the second Tuesday of each month and check against the
adobe version check site. If it match go for it.
I won't post as long as gils does to avoid double posting of the same version.
Gils don't hear our requests of "beta marking" the posts, so... we can't do anything else but follow the above guidelines.
Oh, about Shockwave, it is quite abandoned for one simple reason: as they improve Flash 3D capabilites, even if Shockwave uses Opengl and DirectX directly, they won't pay much attention to it. I won't expect further relaeses.

Re: Flash Player 14.0.0.179

Thanks JohnHell for the information on Shockwave ... I didn't know it had been abandoned ... That explains why no recent new releases ... it used to be almost like Flash with new releases, not as bad but Flash and Shockwave updates would keep me busy.
I don't know anything about Flash 3D ... I'm guessing it is for a newer OS and won't work with Windows XP SP3 ... I will check it out in a search engine.
As for Flash updates, it's no big deal I guess ... I was used to you and ndebord just posting the Final versions through the years.
I have the "free" Rollback program for Windows XP now and I can just install the Adobe Opera version, grab the .dll and then rollback everything. Little more work but it works unless I spot a "final" version here.
*** If anyone missed the announcement of the free Rollback XP program ... here is the link:
http://www.horizondatasys.com/en/RollBack_XP.ihtml
http://www.horizondatasys.com/en/rollback_rx.ihtml
At the bottom of the first link is the download tab for the free XP version download ... the paid version tab is for everything including XP.
thanks ...

Re: Flash Player 14.0.0.179

When I said Flash with 3D capabilities I'm not meaning a new Flash player but the actual Flash Player which with the latests versions is improving more and more its 3D capabilities if you read the beta pdf release notes it is mentioned sometimes
Also I didn't say Shockwave was abandoned but quite abandoned in favor of the newest Flash 3D capilities or AIR. For example, since about 2011 whe only passed from Shockwave 11 to 12.
Actually I think it is also abandoned by developers. It was very common to find apps with shockwave years ago, but now it's hard to see them. You usually see flash instead shockwave objects in pages. Even if it has better performance.
Shockwave would be ideal for video players but instead we have this crap of Flash. I remember when I played games made in shockwave without problems as it is made now with Minecraft in Java (it is the same kind of plugins/environments), but lighter than Java, of course.

Thanks Gils!
I assume that most of the peole here like myself are only after the Finals.
For those who might wonder why Gils is also posting the FlashPlayerPlugin_xx_x_x_xxx.exe too, because Fx portable needs both - the .dll and the .exe.

Today I made a step back, as I couldn't install the OCX for IE when they switched to 15.x in Windows 2000.
So, the latest ESR (Extended Support Release):
