Today I made a step back, as I couldn't install the OCX for IE when they switched to 15.x in Windows 2000.
So, the latest ESR (Extended Support Release):
NPSWF32_13_0_0_252.7z
thanks Johnhell. I'd rather use flash 13 ESR on older machines (recommended Intel Pentium 4 hyperthreading CPU or faster; minimum Intel 2.33Ghz single core CPU). Flash versions 14, 15, 16 & higher need at least a
fast dual-core CPU (Pentium D, Mobile Intel Core Duo, Core 2 Duo or faster) to work without video/audio stuttering.

To be fair, in my Pentium 4, I haven't noticed any performance improvement.
From 10.3 the performance has being dropped, but from 13 to 15 I don't feel any change.
But must be myself

You were right 4td8s.
It is... nothing, just a minor "whatever", but it is the difference from watch a choppy 480p flash video in some sites and watch it quite fluid, even on both the CPU is at 100%.
So:
NPSWF32_13_0_0_259.7z
NPSWF32_16_0_0_235.7z
And as some sites keep complicating the download task of their videos... I'll stick for the ESR.
Note that these versions are hexed for remove the fullscreen message and to keep temp files when available, as I ever do.

Thanks John Hell for the ESR download ... I have two Pentium M notebooks with XP and I decided to go with that flash version after you first posted about it. I didn't notice any real problem with the other flash version ... just the ESR is supposed to be more stable.
I don't know how long Adobe will keep putting out versions to still work with older CPUs or Windows XP ... I guess maybe for awhile yet.
thanks again ...
JonhHell ... tried to get the flash ESR 13 version download but it says the account is "Private" ... how do we get the download? ... thanks

Fixed.
Sometimes, when I select more than one file to share (by default all are private) Mediafire tells all were made public to share, it changes the icon from private to public and, then, happens this :/
Sorry.

Flash Player 13.0.0.259 ESR should work okay on laptops with Pentium M CPUs as long as they're 1.5Ghz speed or better along with 128Mb of video RAM, callahan.

Thanks 4td8s ... I have a 1.5Ghz and a 1.6Ghz T42 ... however I am not sure about the video ram, where would I find that listed.
This is from a T42 description and my setup seems to match most everything.
Audio & Video
Graphics Processor
AGP 4x - ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 - 32 MB DDR SDRAM
Just bought and installed 2 GB of new ram memory yesterday in the 1.6 and the 1.5 will stay at 1 GB.
Everything seems to be working OK since I changed to the version 13 ESR flash.

thanks for the new Flash 13 ESR, John.
needed this one for my old PC using Intel Pentium 4 Hyperthreaded CPU instead of Flash 16.

Gils ... yes, many thanks also for the "heads up" on these newer versions ... I do appreciate you marking them as Final. You just posted a few days ago the other Final version and already there is a newer one.
It's enough just keeping up with the Final versions ... I hadn't even installed the earlier 287 version yet ... just downloaded it.

Thanks 4td8s ... I have a 1.5Ghz and a 1.6Ghz T42 ... however I am not sure about the video ram, where would I find that listed.
DirectX Diagnostic tool (dxdiag.exe), click on the Display tab in the DX Diagnostic tool and video memory is listed there. And it's also mentioned on the Microsoft System Information tool (msinfo32.exe); from there expand the Components section and click on Display - Adapter RAM is the video memory amount.
Those 1.5Ghz/1.6Ghz Intel Pentium M CPUs and running Flash 13 ESR are okay if only running just Windows XP SP3. If you were running newer versions of Windows like Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7, etc then the 1.5Ghz/1.6Ghz single core Pentium Ms are not sufficient.
I use my mom's Dell Inspiron e1405 with Windows 7 SP1 32bit, Intel Core Duo 2.33Ghz T2700 CPU [code name Yonah], 2Gb of RAM, Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset video that has 256Mb of video RAM in 32bit true color mode. I have K-meleon 75 beta 2 on there with latest Flash 13 ESR.
If picture or video stutters with either the 1.5Ghz or 1.6Ghz processor when playing Flash based online videos, now you know why you need a faster CPU or a newer graphics card with more video RAM {or even both}.

4td8s ... thanks for the info ... I have 32 MB RAM listed.
I hope to stay with my Pentium Ms ... these were some of the last ones actually made by IBM before selling out, I do believe ... I have updated them and bought a few newer parts from eBay to fix some cosmetic outer parts ... they are good for me and maybe a collectors item of sorts. They were once in demand and I can easily take them apart to work on them ... just replaced all the CMOS batteries inside, added internal Wi-Fi to the T41 ... a lot of them didn't ship with a Wi-Fi card, both my T42s had internal Wi-Fi cards.
I know they are old but they look good and work very well with XP SP3. I don't know if they will go up in value but they were well made with stainless steel hinges and other items when IBM made them.
Thanks JohnHell for the new flash ESR version.

It's funny, this midday I checked the site for a new version, as if I was knowing something was going to happen :/
Looks like we are getting back to the old days when there was no week with a damn security fix update...............
NPSWF32_13_0_0_269.7z (ESR)
This, with the YouTube move to force HTML5 video player..., may be the quick end of Flash, because, nowadays, Flash is popular for a damn reason: video playback; even it wasn't designed for it.
P.S.: and when do browsers started to be "old" with just one year?!?!?! Now MediaFire starts to warn me using K-meleon 74. Come on!!
