I have configured the appropriate proxy settings to browse HTTP and HTTPS page however am having no luck browsing any pages that utilize SSL e.g. https://encrypted.google.com/. It simply displays the error
Network Timeout
The operation timed out when attempting to contact encrypted.google.com.
What else do I need to update or change?
I was able to resolve the issue. I needed to apply the changes I made to the proxy as opposed to simply closing the window. Maybe the settings should be automatically applied by closing it rather than having to click on apply. Alternatively promot the user that they need to save the changes or they will be discarded.
