Does anybody know of a good way to export the encrypted password info to a text file? I found this (Password Exporter 1.0.6) for FireFox 1.5?

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2848

Tks,

The passwords are already encrypted in a text file in your profile folder.

To keep it, just save it in another folder.

If you want to reinject it in a new profile, it's really easy.

1) Copy it in the new folder (file has .s extension)

2) copy from old prefs.js the line concerning this file, and paste it in the new prefs.js. (delete before a similar line if already present in the new prefs.js)

3) Launch the new profile.

That's all folks...

A+

AFAIK you additionally need some of the *.db file if You use masterpass to encrypt.

& You can either adjust the number of the *.s in prefs.js or copy&paste the content of the old *.s file to the new *.s file.

& wise to keep a screenshot of the names&pwds additionally as suggested in the thread listed by desgas2.
