Copying bookmarks

Hi. I have a long list of bookmarks and wish to save them on a floppy drive prior to swapping some computer hardware. I find I cannot select them all, copy and then direct them to the A: drive as with another browser.
Can someone tell me how to do this please?? (I have done about half-a-dozen searches in the "search" field in case this has been a previous topic but nothing came up.)
Thanks
ben

Your bookmarks are in a subfolder of your K-Meleon folder profile.
The profile folder is either inside your K-Meleon root folder,
that means the folder where K-Meleon.exe is, or, if
you selected multiuser during the browser installation,
inside your central applications folder, which means mostly in
C:/Documents..../yourusername/Applications/K-Meleon or similar.
If you can't find your bookmarks, search your computer
for all existing bookmarks.html .
A search field for Searches on your computer can be opened,
if I remember it correctly, because I am on Linux here,
by the shortcut WindowsKey(the key with the windows flag) + f
(pushing the two keys at the same time).
You can then manually copy your bookmarks to the floppy.

Thank you for your post Fred...
I gave your suggestion a try, including a search for all bookmarks but nothing was found (even though I'm looking at dozens of them in the browser). This is frustrating; I even attempted to copy one at a time by highlighting it but when I click on it I get taken to the website. Why doesn't K-Meleon permit a simple copy or "send to" another drive???

Well, you have to search in your computer for bookmarks.html and if you can't find it or is not what you are searching for try to go to the favorites folder of Internet Explorer that is ever under documents&settings (do a search). Or try to backup from IE.
I tell you this because I don't know how IE favorites plugin works (as I don't use it) but maybe you are using the favorites of IE instead the Netscape bookmarks model/file, which is the one K-meleon uses.

Thanks for the reply JohnHell
I don't use IE so I don't have any concerns with that aspect. I may not have used the correct "computer" terminology when describing this problem as I can readily access my listed bookmarks when I open "Bookmarks" on the toolbar. I just can't send all of them to A: drive to copy on a diskette. I also use Firefox and it is a simple matter of opening my bookmarks, selecting them and then sending them to A: for copying with that browser.
I finally know when I'm licked as there appears to be no means of doing this task with K-Meleon.

It can't be that difficult, to find your bookmarks !
In KM1.1.4 go in the menu bar to Edit>Preferences>Plugins.
Highlight Netscape Bookmarks and press the button
"configure".
In the upcoming window the location of your bookmarks
is already highlighted. Watch it from left to right or
copy the whole line and watch the line in notepad.
Go there to the folder, open the file bookmarks, and
save it to your floppy.
In KM1.5a2 go to Edit>Preferences>K-MeleonPlugins>NetscapeBookmarks
to watch the already highlighted line with the location
of your bookmarks.

Hello once again Fred: - Thanks for the info.; however, that did not work either. All it displayed was a lot of "computer jargon" pertaining to the use of the bookmark tab.
Anyway, rather than delay any longer in the hardware changeover, I'm going to let them all go and just use Firefox from now on.

I think you were trying to troll only.
It is not easy not being able to find the bookmarks file following our info.

Yes, troll or what the..., what ben wants is to go to the bookmarks editor and/or config and backup them from there.
Ok, Ben, I'm/we're sorry about that, but as you said in your last message, it is not possible to automate it through those windows. We are telling you the way to do: go to your profile and select your bookmarks file and sent it to drive A:, or copy it and paste on A:.
