K-Ext110_SpellCheck.exe

I am using K-Ext110_SpellCheck.exe with 1.5a1 and all it does is underline in red the words that may be misspelled. This is fine, but is there a way to make K-Ext110_SpellCheck.exe use the Windows dictionary and suggest spellings as the Windows spell check does?

Thank you.

Charlie

Just put your cursor on the misspelled word and hit the accel (I have choosed [Ctrl *] or use Right-click.

I'm not able to access my web page to update the setup version on line. The last version is 2.0.3, but online is 2.0.2

The version 2.0.2 must use spelltest 0.0.4 (I think)

If you want to use 0.0.6 version of spelltest, you'll must to update the prefs name in spellcheck.kmm (in macros folder).

Version 2.0.2 and more allows to change default dictionaries folder (for example choose ooo dictionaries folder which offers without having to download it a great number of dictionaries.

Humm...
I think I haven't answered to the question.

In fact it uses seamonkey spellcheck mechanism. I don't understand what you say when you're talking about 'Windows dictionary' and 'Windows Spell Check'. I don't know that Windows has one.

Thank you, JujuLand for responding. This has solved my problem.smiling smiley

I have tried unsuccessfully many times to install and use both spelltest and Aspell. But I could not get them to work. But K-Ext110_SpellCheck.exe works great.smiling smiley

Thanks, again.

Aspell, it has been a pain to make it to work, and it was not very good.

The integrated spellchecker is really better. the only problem, and I think it can't be solved, is the fact that with right-key we can't have sugestion directly, that's why I prefer use the accel.

I forgot to say that a second accel is avalaible, [Alt *] which allows to change the dictionaries folder.

I agree that all my extension setups are really missing explanations ...

Ctrl-* works for me and brings up a list of words to choose from, but right-click does not - is it supposed to, or is there a setting to change so it will?

The purposed menus aren't directly after the right-click, you must open SpellCheck submenu, it's why I prefer the accel.

Okay thanks - but now Ctrl-* doesn't seem to be doing anything - it did work previously - Alt-* does bring up the dictionaries folder and there is a .dic file there - any idea what I changed and how to get it working again?

Ctrl-* works only in a textearea zone, Are you sure you're in such a zone when you click Ctrl-*.

For Alt-* it works always. The purpose is to choose another dictionaries folder, to avoid having to multiply dictionaries on the computer. For example, if you have OpenOffice installed, you have directly a great number of dictionaries (OpenOffice 2.4\share\dict\ooo)
