It's a shame that there isn't any Linux version, has this project considered it for the future?

THANKS

No, it's not a shame. There is (were) only a programmer, and K-Meleon has only been made for Windows.

I'm now an ubuntu user since 08.10, and don't use Windows anymore (except at work), and continue to use K-Meleon under wine.

There is sometimes some crash I don't understand, but it's really not too much frequent.

I'm finishing to write again an extension which allows to use Linux programs to open links. It works since 2 years about, but I hadn't put it online, because it was written with a non free program. I'm now writing it with AutoIt3.

The only missing tool is a kind of setup to set parameters, and I'm finishing it

You have also a Linux users forum here.

A pity that Microsoft has not added Linux support to its Visual C development tools. sad smiley

K-Meleon.exe is a Microsoft Foundation Class application. That type application is supported by Windows only development tools. Not by Linux tools.

No, nobody will consider a native Linux version.

Apart for the reasons alain mentioned. K-Meleon project is about a browser shell for the Mozilla Gecko HTML rendering engine - not about about extending Microsoft's propriety development tools to create a Linux native MFC application.

and there will never be a Linux version of K-meleon in this lifetime and beyond.

K-Meleon forum is powered by Phorum.
