go there
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=autoit+search+file+for+value&btnG=Search&meta=

click on the first result.. moressey or something.ca.. a prompt will pop..CLICK CANCEL!and watch the 'scanning' script; it's quite well crafted but only the gullible will fall for it.
it's advisable to block that domain after and do not click yes on any prompts.. and if you ever run into a similar site(i assume they'll be many).. you'll know what to do.

edit: seems google realised their big mistake and removed it from the results.. here's the core one:
http://advanced-pro-scan.com/2009/1/en/_freescan.php?nu=880385
it's quite funny actually

anyway.. back to main topic, which obviously google didn't help:
i need au3 command to read certain entry inside prefs.js.. like array read, autoit forum was not helpful

what i'm trying to do is:
open file prefs.js
search for a certain string
if exists.. replace by another string and execute command
if it doesn't exist..> exit

I am not sure that it is allowed to replace a string in prefs.js while KM is running. If it is a pref that needs to be replaced, then have the macro read the prefs.js file and upon finding the string do a setpref() to replace it. KM can change the prefs.js file.

oh yeah, you're right.. the file will be locked to read-only when km is running. thanks james, i'll try to do it from within kmeleon/macro.

I can't believe folks are still clicking on that crap, much less anything that even resembles it. Too bad it doesn't come with a face slapper for just pointing at it. I guess the Human race is just destined to be stupid even after the hardest of lessons.sad smiley

I read that early this AM. Good news. I wonder if these rogues include our good friends AV 2008/2009.
