dear sir i see you have been busy i just have a question for you ..what files make up the gecko rendering engine of this machine.
I am no sir & i am on holiday right now.
I do not know all the files that are essential. I am no programmer. Dorian will know.
AFAIK gklayout.dll is the core. That and some other helping files starting with gk are responsible for the rendering. The files are in ./components. Helper files for JavaScript, Image... are used.

I merely stayed here many years to help (after PPL like alain helped me).
You can find out more on Mozilla.org: there are projects for other components that are needed to make a browser and other internet applications: I know of necko (network), spidermonkey (javascript engine).
A possible starting point. That leads to definitions such as: The framework for embedding Mozilla technologies was at one point called the GRE (Gecko Runtime Environment).
BTW. K-Meleon is about embedding all components needed for a browser (& only the needed ones) into a Windows32 internet browser with the help of Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC). The devs took winembed. and later mfcembed.exe and extended it.
