customize bookmarks toolbar???

Is there a way to customize the bookmarks toolbar, as in FireFox, Opera, or even the Links toolbar in Internet Explorer?

What I'd like is a toolbar that contains only this URLs I put there.

Is there an extension, or plug for that?

Many thanks.

Press Ctrl+B for Bookmarks Editor and place what you need in Personal Toolbar Folder.

That's it!

Thanks for the response.

When I press Ctrl-B, or the View button, I don't see Personal Toolbar Folder.

Do I need to create the folder, and if so, how?

Many thanks.

You can right-click ANY folder in your Bookmarks list (create one if no one exists inside Bookmarks) and select Set as Toolbar Folder from context menu.

Gotcha!

Thanks, I saw that, but it's not quite what I'm trying to do.

What I'd like to do is create a Toolbar Folder that contains individual URLs from various other Bookmarks folders--for instance, the NYTimes url from my News folder; the eBay url from my Shopping folder; the DataFileHost from my Storage folder.

I don't wish to turn any existing Bookmarks folder into the Toolbar Folder.

If you wish (and it's possible on this forum) I can upload an image file of my Opera browser to illustrate what I mean.

Sorry I wasn't clearer earlier.

Thanks.

As I understand you need somethink like symlinks to you favorites. This isn't possible here, but why not to simply copy needed links to Toolbar Folder?

Use Ctrl+C & Ctrl+V inside Bookmarks Editor to copy links where they are and copy into Toolbar folder.

Thanks; this suggestion steered me in the direction I wished to go.

For any others who might want a bookmarks toolbar that contains only selected URLs, here are the steps:

(1) Ctrl-B to Edit bookmarks

(2) Right click on All Bookmarks, and create New Folder

(3) Rename New Folder to My Faves (or whatever pleases you)

(4) Copy & paste the URLs you want visible in the Personal Toolbar to the My Faves folder

(5) Right click on the My Faves folder and click on Set as Toolbar Folder

(5) Click on View; click on Bookmarks.

Thanks.
