Actually some say that the compressed file makes the K-meleon slower as they have to be decompresed later on in the ram...
My experiences with a 223 MB ram old laptop were not conclusive...
To my eye it seemed as fas as before not faster not slower..Compressed or uncompressed.
The only difference that was it was that it was a very small K-meleon..
And the fact that i learned a lot regarding what you can delete out of K-meleon and what you can not..
