Surprisingly it wasn't so bad going to it tonight. Maybe because I am not using windows? I doub that but I hate the same things you hate about it. You could turn off javascript like I do. The most annoying things about those pages are when you go to stop them and you can't. Or when they are done loading and you scroll for a a few seconds and then it seems like it is still loading something even though you know its done. That frustrates the hell out of me. There are some places I just can't go to because my computer is just to old to handle everything being thrown at it from a site.

You could also try using the .rss feeds instead. There are -tons- of .rss feeds for lifehacker and that way you don't need to actually visit the site, just peruse the headlines/subjects for each feed and choose only those you wish.

Seriously, there's -tons- of feeds there.

firefoxiscrappy,

Although I do surf mainly with Java and Javascript turned off, even with that, I would avoid this badly designed site. Hung KM to the point when I just killed the process entirely to avoid sitting there watching KM stalled out.

What a crappy site.

To avoid this kind of problem on many "tech" sites I use :

Daily Rotation

if you don't know it - try it !!!
