lol, sometimes it takes using something to jog your memory. In the last few day I realized, again, why I use Kmeleon more than Opera.
I really really like how Opera handles cached data. It is without a doubt, in my book, the fastest when using sessions, and the fastest at going 'back' and loading cache. Has been for many versions, like versions 4 I think is when I started seriously using it.
Anyway, after messing with imaging programs and shadow state/ rollback programs, I updated Sandboxie, and was tweaking my browsers sandbox for Opera. I have been using it perhaps a month now, with a 50/50 mix of Opera and Kmeleon. Opera is a bit faster, I will give it that. But, finally, I cannot stand it any longer. Not only is KM seem plain 'simple' in some respects, but most importantly, it opens everything correctly, especially if using the right user agent string. Opera has always had that issue with me. Used to be I would open Kmeleon when a page would not display correctly. Kmeleon never failed me when I needed it.
Now, using Opera again, I remembered why I spent about a year using only Kmeleon. Frustration at Opera for not rendering correctly. Now in fairness, it is probably web sites that are not coded to standard, but still, it serves to show me that what I was thinking then is still applicable a year later.
Take your opinion ala'carte or as an entree', but this is my opinion lol.

presto had some standard-compliance issues in previous versions..mostly are fixed but it isn't as good as gecko. gecko and webkit are the best engines when it comes to page rendering- probably cause both are open source. gecko is a better engine than webkit when it comes to non-standard compliant tolerance... it can still interpret bad code in the best possible way and render page correctly.
