I like melon..just got it..fast and easy so far and everything seems very intuitive
EXCEPT
how do you block a website?
sometime when i get on mininova.com it gets redirected to some stupid shoe advertisement site (I WILL BUY NEVER THEIR SHOES OR ANYTHING ELSE THEY SEEL! I HATE IT WHEN THIS HAPPENS)
...how do i block that site
it also does it in IE but i blocked it and that seems to have stopped it from
disburbing me...lol...
anyone know how to block a site in MELLON?

Go to Tools > Privacy.
Also, check out Using Adblock Plus in K-Meleon. Take your time and read the FAQ. You may be surprised at the many things it can do. Also, for a while it may be a good idea to block images and ads one at a time then look at AB+'s preferences to see exactly how it is working. AB+ IMO is one of the best freebees available.

in additional to adblockplus; you can also use kmeleon domain blocker which adds a command in rightclick menu to block domain.. this will add it to Hosts file as local address. added domains will be blocked universally for all browsers and net applications.. not just kmeleon (use with caution)
best used along with manage hosts macro to easily access hosts file

THERE SURE ARE BETTER WAYS, FOR EXAMPLE WITH ADBLOCK-PLUS, BUT DON'T THEM KNOW MYSELF.
TRY THIS:
OPEN YOUR PROFILE DIRECTORY (MANUALLY OR EDIT -> CONFIGURATION -> PROFILE DIRECTORY)
OPEN FILE HOSTPERM.1 WITH A TEXT EDITOR (OR CREATE IT, IF IT DOESN'T EXIST YET)
ADD A LINE:
HOST DOCUMENT 2 XXXXXXXXXX.COM
IT WORKS FOR LINKS AND DIRECTLY CALLED PAGES, BUT NOT FOR REDIRECTED ADRESSES. FOR EXAMPLE IF "YOUTUBE.COM" IS BLOCKED, AND I TYPE "YOUTUBE.FR", THEN IT IS REDIRECTED AUTOMATICALLY TO A "COM" ADDRESS AND IS SHOWN. BUT NOW THE ADDRESS IS "COM" AGAIN, AND YOU CAN'T OPEN ANY MORE PAGES.

TO AVOID POPUPS:
VIEW -> TOOLBARS -> PRIVACY BAR

Their hearing is bad.
Correction: HIS hearing is probably bad, so he was yelling, and so I must reply in yelling or he doesn't understand it OR he just likes it, so why not do him the favor :cool: OR, seeing that his name sounds arabic, he may have some probs with normal characters, but anyway: As you shout into the forest, it will echo back :cool: (german saying)
