Using Vista Home Premium. 1.5.2 seems fine for my browsing, any problems upgrading to 1.5.3? I know I'm a bit late!!! Anyone here NOT upgrading to / using 1.5.3?

No problems during upgrading (it is the same major version - the update will reuse old profiles and settings. I would still backup Profiles before I would change anything ).

1.5.3 fixes some bugs and has the newer GREngine 1.8.1.21.

A few PPL were more satisfied with 1.5.2 and a GRE update.

Non official GRE update to GRE 1.8.1.22 exists.

Another GRE update will come soon. Kairo has started the release process for SeaMonkey 1.1.18.

I will try to rebuild the GRE of SeaMonkey 1.1.18 with Microsoft Visual C Toolkit 2003 for a non official update if needed.

@ xps

I am still using 1.5.2 at home. Downloaded 1.5.3 here at a friends home and I see no differences, same performance and stability. The only differences I am aware of are listed at http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/bugs/findbug.php?summary=&description=&status%5B%5D=4&target%5B%5D=24&creator=&daterange=&moddays=&submit=Search but these problems don't effect me using Windows XP.

Caktus,

As near as I can tell, the major change will be in the SSL section. Mozilla Corp. has labeled this error as an exploit, so this new release will be important.

Still using 1.5.2 but get a reminder when I load up 1.5.2 that a newer version is available... do I lose anything by not upgrading? The bug fixes look minor to me!

You can update without problem or loss - it is the same major version.

You can use desga2's updater that offers to do update and GRE update.

You can also switch of the reminder / it is a plugin
