K-Meleon Web Browser Forum
This was my first K-Meleon upgrade & I was a little apprehensive.
I have found that the auto-update isn't working for me, I have ticked both boxes but when I restart the browser the second box (Macro Extension) doesn't stay ticked. I may not have the macro.
Anyway, I manually downloaded 1.5.4 over 1.5.3 & it seems fine so far, all bookmarks & even my GB-English dictionary ('borrowed' from SeaMonkey) are fine. Apart from the fact that the Privacy Bar had returned to its defaults, although I can easily remedy that.

The auto updater surprised me, I'm going to install it soon!
I didn't realise I had to download the auto-updater macro. I'm just glad the manual update went smoothly as this was the first time I have really updated KM.
Everything seems OK anyway!

Better be careful guys if you have done a lot of customizing:
Make a backup copy of the profile folder and of the KM program folder...
Overriding does override sometimes things, like additional user agents in prefs folder, customized klassic and phoenity skins etc.
I'm with the 1.5.4 version right now. I deleted everything except the bookmarks, I have a fresh installation now. I need to find the spell checker, the one with the installer.
Went fine here, I did a snapshot first, installed over the previous version and all is working perfectly.
OK, thanks for the info siria. I had only done a bit of customising & it was easy to reproduce for 1.5.4.
Plus I can have K-Meleon as my default browser on Vista now!
