Session files

1.Where can I find/what is the folder that contains the saved session files?
2.Once I found it, can I open it with notepad or is there a special way to open it?

Hi, Eduardo,

they are not files in a folder, they are lines in a file.
If you want to edit them:

make a copy of the prefs.js file (in "Profiles" -> "YourProfile" (probably called something like "54jk78ud.default") as a backup.

Open that file.
Scroll down to find the lines beginning with:

Quote

user_pref("kmeleon.plugins.sessions

Alternatively, you can access the same lines via
-> Edit -> Configuration -> Browser Configuration

or by typing about:config in the URLbar, then hitting Return.

For my taste, the "edit file" method is preferable - I tend to
NOT FORGETTING to backup that way ...

Perfect, Soeren! grinning smiley
Just a little PS: The browser should be closed when editing that file in notepad, because at exit the browser automatically overwrites the prefs.js, so manual changes outside in notepad would be lost.

... so that was not really perfect, I would say - because the info you supplied is really important ...

Peanuts.. grinning smiley I like your short and clear summary, if *I* would have tried to sum those 3 ways up, it would have gotten rather complicated and longwinded and I sure would have overlooked the one or other peanut too - then you (or one of the others) would have added them. No prob! grinning smiley
