This Username and password is only temporary and should be deleted from
your records.
Please send an email with my old user name and password to
"mail address" or by any other means you choose.
Please set up a way for people to get their userids and passwords
if they forget.

If You are "jps" - please confirm.

p.s. You can only get a new password to the mail that is in K-Meleon Forum records.
If You do not have that any more or used a fictive one You cannot receive an answer.

The mail for jps ihas been sent to the mail address You posted, the @ I'd deleted.

You can contact "sterndaler" at yahoo com (me) from the mail address You posted.
Just in case Your ISP rejected my mail as spam, as siria assumed.

A return-answer by me would usually always be white-listed if Your ISP/Mail used a gray-list scheme that blocked my first mail.

It's not in my spam mail and ESET Smart Security has not quarantined
it. So I am at a loss. Other mail is coming through.

If You waunt get it, we have narrowed the fault to either Yahoo or Your place at bellsouth.net. My ISP will send me a error message. Pop is a hard protocol. It is supposed to succeed or result in an error message.

I declined to do anything else because the core of the problem is that we could not comunicate by mail from yahoo.com to bellsouth.net so I retried by htp-tel.de.

My experience is much less but sufficient to do the job. I have been moderator here for several years & have been through a manual PWD lost procedure several times.

It is past 03:08:04 PM, Sunday 20, June 2010 EDT and I have not received a failure report yet. AFAIK my ISP will retry 24 hours or more before i get notice whether Your ISP bellsouth.net answers.


You can shorten this step by sending me an alternative contact mail address to yahoo - it must come via the one that I know & that is known to the Forum to exclude interloping.

Or You can start another Forum ID.

Please confirm that I am allowed to delete BOTH You user IDs so that You or anyone can use them again. Your old ID has 22 posts and the current one slightly less.

Please don't, every kid can type a fake sender addy in outlook express accounts, then it only depends from the provider if he cares and blocks it or not, and am sure there are tons of web services out there to send mail with any sender you wish...

@siria, I understood the problem.

@Jack, no other way but to get You mail to work again or copy the message body of the last message (mentions Your wife) You send me into the message body as signature - if You use a web mail service or so.

BTW. I send a mail by yahoo, by hotmail and my local ISP's POP mail.
I even send mail from one to the other to check whether they send mail.

Just tried to register again after reading you latest message.
It complained that the Email address was in use.

No jpsdjsfl @ any ISP contained in the records. I am sure.

Can forum delay it?

If You do not want to wait?

1.) Create a new ID with a fictive mail like jpsdjsfl@yahoo.com.ru or any that is accepted.

2.) Next. Try to edit so that the ID will use Your real mail.


You only need the real mail for being contacted by the admins in case of an emergency.
Since I could not reach You - You can as well dispense with step 2.)

As of June 22nd my old mail address is still there.

Can not re-register.

23.06.2010. I deleted jps the 21st. Forum says: jps is still in use. I checked.
So data are not updated. Your mail address is probably not usable either.
I have no idea when or how often the data bank will update.

It is a bug but this is IMHO not big enough to spent dev time.
If You think it is worth to open a bug You can open a new bug after You signed in with a new ID.

Well, as long as one of the 2 real bugs still exists, the one that does *not* send "follow Topic" mails, a working mail addy isn't really needed anyway :cool:

I only have one email address with Bellsouth.
My wife's address now won't let me in either.
