Everytime I want to login into Hotmail/Windows live I come to

the mobile page. I dont know why. I deleted all the caches but it does not work. Is is a bug or does anybody know a solution ??

That reminds me, had a similar problem recently. It wasn't hotmail, so the reasons are probably different, just to note this somewhere:

maps.google.com kept redirecting me too to their mobile version, until I noticed this happens only if javascript is blocked!!

Edit: Just tried visiting hotmail.com
First the site told me to switch on javascript. Okay.
Then it complained I shall also switch on cookies. Okay.
Then it looked quite normal to my surprise, and when I checked my user agent, it was already set to Firefox2. Oops, that's why it works. So:

With the default user agent (K-Meleon) there's really a redirect to the mobile version, but with the FF2 fake it works fine! :cool:

@surgeon, hab das mal nach General bewegt, weil es kein K-Meleon Bug ist.

p.s. Ihr wollt es ja nicht hören, aber ich bin der Ansicht, jeder sollte die IP sehen können wie früher, da kann man sich besser verständigen.

Am Besten AutoSwitcher Erweiterung nehmen und Hotmail als blöde Seite einstuffen.

Check out bug #395259 on the hotmail access problem - it has been "reopened"
this applies to ALL non-Firefox gecko based browsers, including K-meleon

there's no real need to read it yourself - it just states it was reopened, nothing else NEW.

As was stated here, but not only here, before, everything there indicates this is a hotmail bug, namely bad sniffing, not being caused by any browser.

From the browser's perspective, the simple and effective method to handle such site "bugs" is to present a fake UserAgent to the site's incompetent sniffing.
K-Meleon is very well equipped to do that, as can be read in those numerous threads about hotmail, facebook, google maps, et cetera.

Btw., 4td8s, have you started to learn coding yet?
Any timetable for you being able to join the KM dev's team?

Isn't that for downloading videos? Have you installed an extension for downloading them?

Yes that's an optional macro, youtube services. That deturl-bug actually was the reason I finally got my butt up and wrote the OnLoadCheck-macro, that I wanted to do long since
Have never been a fan of getting automatic actions forced by macros without any switch possible except restarting the browser. Regarding youtube, I only download about 1 out of 10 watched videos, so would greatly prefer NO automatic (and often outdated) action, but choosing my own preferenced download service in that nice long menu - only if actually needed
