My firewall keeps annoying me with k-meleons attempt to connect to 216.34.181.96. I think it's sourceforges website (maybe for update?). However, the update-plugin is disabled and I use a proxy. It seems k-meleon 1.5.4 ignores both and tries to connect to this address every 20 seconds. Very annoying.
Bug? Settings-thing? Workaround?
Just restarted k-meleon. problem solved.
KM update plugin, you can disable it from Preferences (F2) -> K-Meleon Plugins -> Uncheck "Update Checker".
But this plugin only check for updates at K-Meleon start, not each 20 seconds.
