Mozilla.Very good.I have a little question:

When I surch on google the following message appear:

"The information you have entered is to sent over an unencrypted connection

and could be easily read by a third party."

Is it unsave to continue the search or what can I do???

Thank you

Hi,

3.)what can I do???

1.) K-Meleon needs less resources. Also K-Meleon always starts faster and reacts faster to user input than FF. It depends on Your PC and what You are doing which browser is surfing faster. smiling smiley

2.) Normal search engine behavior and open to so called man in the middle attack.
It is however unlikely that You are a target. Google is not Your bankpage...
& IMHO Google is gathering data already.
Personally? I'd click the warning away. grinning smiley

3.) Please. View the last part of the thread about changing and updating K-Meleon search settings for more info about the solution I post now (read nfpr's posts). http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?2,109849,113645#msg-113645

Solution: F2 -> Finding Websites ->Search Engines ->Choose Google & press Edit .

Maybe use this secure search string

https://encrypted.google.com/search?hl=en&nfpr=1&num=50&q=

Secure Search is probably slightly slower.

That doesn't endanger your computer or such, it's just a little privacy question: If you don't mind that other people can know which words you're searching for, you can continue without worrying ;-)
That only gets real dangerous if the stuff you're sending openly over the internet is risky, like internet banking passwords or so. You can keep an eye on that little lock icon that's in most browsers in the status bar, bottom right corner, to see if a page is transmitted encrypted or not. Encrypted pages also start with "https" instead of "http".

Edit: LOL guenter, this time you were faster! grinning smiley grinning smiley
Good idea with that encrypted search tip, didn't think of it. By the way the "hl=en" means english, for french just replace it with "hl=fr" ;-)

Finally.

Replace en=English with fr, nl or de. smiling smiley

p.s. AFAIK Belgium has not only 1 (French) but 3 official languages.
And it bosts many interesting regional languages: West Flemish, East Flemish, Brabantian, Limburgish, Walloon, Picard, Champenois, Lorrain, Low Dietsch...?
