Hello!
Browser cache and temporary files are really dangerous if I use SSD? The cache files are small and very-very short-life, and exist a lot of them.
I have an SSD with TLC memory chips.
Thanks
Helló,
I have not tried but only know what I read.
No not dangerous. But maybe restrict cache on HDD to Zero.
Reason. You want to limit the wear by too many write operations.
That is how I read the technical info.
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solid-State-Drive German
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solid-state_drive English
Sorry the info does not seem to exist in Magyar language Wikipedia.
I tried to find. But found no result.
"SSD with TLC memory chips" AFAIK have a limited number of write operations.
Modern technology tries to make that all are used systemtically often and that not one is used more and one is used less - but You do not want them to wear any out soon by "fast small write operations". Or?
You may find better info in the specifications of Your system.
But I would switch caching on HDD OFF. Unless I was on a very slow ISP conection.
& Your telekom.hu does not sound any worse than my dip0.t-ipconnect.de = telekom.de. :O
Sok üdvözlettel from Germany
p.s. Sorry You caught me on a topic where I do not even know the English words.
And I only know the theory and not how many million/billion write operations Your system will do during a surf session - and what it takes to do damage.
Maby try to Google more info?
