SeaMonkey usually follows a major FireFox release with its own new release in a few days or so.

or better yet, continue development on KM 1.6, bypass and skip 1.7 and
start developing a K-meleon 2.0, based on the gecko 2.0 engine that firefox 4.0 and seamonkey 2.1 uses. just only a suggestion though.
