Hi everybody,

I use K-meleon 1.5.4.Since a few days I changed to k-meleon 1.6 beta 2.

I have one question:

If you go to tools---->privacy---->clear data----> clear history

nothing happen.I tried several times but the history is not cleared.

Do you know the problem and what can we do????

Sorry. One of the beta-bugs yet :-/
But I thought only automatic clearing were affected?
So manually doesn't work either?
Am not going to test myself, wanna keep mine :cool:

The only method I find which will clear history in 1.6.0 beta2 is to use preferences and clear from the history panel there. None of the menu based methods seem to work.

KM 1.6.0 beta2 on Win 7 (32 bit)

You can try with the Privacy kplugin on dhost.info.

For me that did most of the history-cleaning that is expected.

Download the dll & place it into ./K-Meleon/kplugins. It should work after the browser has been started up the next time.

Have missed that What version is it by whom and when? Properties say the same as for the native plugin, version 0.0.3, but filesize is slightly different?

I placed the "pricacy.dll in kmeleon plugins.

It's works from the menu also.

The same story with view dat---->view cookies it doesn't work as well.

Good. Privacy only wholesale deletes data.

View Cookies & manage them is done by another component.

My two cents worth. On the Privacy Bar, I have taken off two icons: Delete Cookies and Passwords... unlike History and URL Bar, those two need to be managed in a micro fashion, not wholesale. I don't want to delete all cookies or all passwords EVER.

So I use K-Meleon's Password Manager to handle some passwords and a 3rd party utility (PasswordSafe) to handle more sensitive ones and I use Cookie Culler to handle my cookies.

You may already have had your problem solved, but here is one more suggestion:

Under Preferences go to Privacy & Security > History and uncheck 'Keep a list of all pages visited in the last 1 days'.
