Question about safety
Date: May 03, 2011 03:43AM
I run Opera with JS, Plugins off by default and enable per site if req'd. FireFox 1.5 I run with NoScript.
I was wondering about K-Meleon though. I know that there's buttons to toggle JS, etc and I've enabled them as default as a toolbar. I also know there's a NoScript for K-M. So there's a couple of options I have and I was wondering what you experienced K-M users do.
1) Toggle off JS by default and toggle on for any site I trust that needs it (then reload)
2) Install NoScript (I looked at it and it appears tricky to do?)
3) Toggle on JS by default and pray... :-)

@ MXB
I run KM 1.6.0 beta2 with JS off. I am using Policies Manager from the extensions so that sites that I know are safe and need JS get it when needed. I created my own off/on toggle button for JS so that I don't need the extra bar.
Just about everybody has their own method. You can run KM in so many ways. Just do what works for you.

Button for JS? F7 toggles JS I've found. Do you mean something else?
I'll have a look at the Policies Manager you mentioned, it sounds like Opera's method.
