Hi,
Can someone please indicate how to change the default PDF Reader from Adobe Reader to NUANCE PDF Reader so that it loads spontaneously in K-Meleon when it encounters a PDF file?

press F2 for preferences, there under Browsing is a File Handling dialog. find the entry for pdf and edit it. you will see the possibility of launching it in any program which you can locate on your hard disk, maybe the 3rd option.
if you want it to appear embedded in a page, like adobe usually does, you will need a plugin to render it from the new application. good luck with that, hopefully it is included and instructions as well.
