Is there in the version 1.5.4. an option to open a link in the background tab, say, with MMB (mouse middle button click)

However I had seen this answer before and it's not the thing I asked for. I don't wish to change the behavior of the all 8 accelerators, but only to assign this alone action/accelerator for opening links in background.
Does it mean, that tuning of such type is not possible in K-Meleon?

change Mouse Accelerators to SeaMonkey, Firefox or Opera if you want to open links in background tabs with mouse middle button. How difficult is that? All is explained in the link I posted before.

How do I customize shortcut keys?
Key commands (accelerators) can be customized by editing the accel.cfg file in your profile folder. Choose Edit > Configuration > Accelerators to open it. Explanations can be found on the Configuration Files page.
I do not have a middle button on my mouse so I do not remember the exact answer that was posted in this Forum probably some eons ago.
Have a look into: Edit/Configuration/Accelerators.
You can add a suitable accelerator to user defined accel.cfg via:
<quote>
# Middle-click links to the background:
#%ifplugin tabs
#MButton = ID_OPEN_LINK_IN_BACKGROUNDTAB
#%else
#MButton = ID_OPEN_LINK_IN_BACKGROUND
#%endif
</quote>
Remove the # (that comments them out) before the quoted lines that are suitable to Your need or alter them to Your wish.
This IMHO should do the trick.
To this accel.cfg file You can add any technically possible shortcut.
