I cannot use the latest K-meleon nightly build

Install or AutoUpdate (I tried both) seems to run through alright, but then the program doesn't start up!
A library called "MOZCRT19.DLL" is missing...

I couldn't find that DLL in earlier builds, so this seems to be a new dependency !?

I was also having the same error message and facing problems to fix it, but I have found the perfect solution from http://dllcentral.com/mozcrt19.dll/8.00.0000/

I have downloaded the missing mozcrt19.dll file at:

http://dllcentral.com/mozcrt19.dll/8.00.0000/download/

And restore it in Mozilla Folder which is present in Program Files folder in your Windows Drive. Path to Mozilla Firefox folder:

C: / Program Files / Mozilla Firefox

Note: C: Drive: - The drive in which your windows is installed.

That should fix the issue.

Yes, definitely, have checked again. It's included in the 7z and in the setup version, on the official download page.
No idea which mysterious"nightly build" could be meant...
And especially no idea why Firefox needs it in its folder, what does that have to do with K-Meleon? Could it be somehow related to an extension perhaps?

I assume that You get the error 'MOZCRT19.DLL is missing' also when it is broken.
That is rare but such things can happen both with Firefox and K-Meleon.

No that is unlikely.


p.s. 'MOZCRT19.DLL' = Mozilla Custom C++ Runtime. All GRE (those build for Firefox also ) that are build with the build parameter: "ac_add_options --enable-jemalloc" have this custom runtime.

A patch by B. Smedberg replaces the runtime's heap handling default allocator with jemalloc to improve Firefox/Mozilla GRE's memory usage for the 3.0 and later releases.

Any exe or dll that that is compiled with reference to that runtime needs it.
You can also build K-Meleon.exe and Kplugins so that Mozilla Custom C++ Runtime instead of the normal CRT (C Run Time) is used.

This is because you are missing a file.
Step 1. You can download MOZCRT19.DLL here.
Step 2. Paste this file into your system32 and system folder. Also put it in your syswow
Step 3. Navigate to your System32(32Bit OS) or SyWOW64(64Bit OS) Folder.
Note: The location of System32 or SyWOW64 is
C:Windows\System32 (If you are using 32Bit Windows)
C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (if you are using 64Bit Windows)
Step 4.Paste the MOZCRT19.DLL into this folder.
Step 5.Run the game. It might work now.

Download from mozcrt19.dll

Press "Start" and select "Run".
Type CMD and press Enter.
Type "regsvr32 mozcrt19.dll" and press enter again.
