Hi all .... someone at the MSFN forum under Windows 98SE has posted a link to Rapid Share for this new portable version of Flash Player. I just tried it and it seems to work OK ... I have been at some Flash Player test sites and everything seems to work. This is at the Windows 98SE forum but it probably will work for other OSs ... I'm posting everything here so others can confirm that it also works for them.

New Adobe Flash Player available 11,2,202,233
I can confirm that it can be installed and work correctly by installing the portable version for your particular browser, in my case Firefox.

.... I also chose Firefox but I unpacked the download into an empty folder and installed the FP plugin manually ... I saved my old KM FP plugin ... just in case! ... but it seems to work so far. I googled a few FP test sites and they do work.
When you unpack the FP download ... there are two dlls in the folder ... I didn't know what to do with the 2nd dll (nppdf32.dll) so I left it in the folder ... maybe something for Firefox, don't know ... I only installed the NPSWF32.dll into the K-Meleon plugin folder (after removing the older one already there). Perhaps others with more knowledge will have more to say about the other dll and if it should also be installed or just the NPSWF32.dll only, and also if it works for them.

Note: If you use Proxomitron, you have to check Bypass to do the test.

Flash Player Version Check
If you have the Flash player already installed in your computer, you will see its version type and number below.
This player version check requires a minimum of Flash version 4 to work at all. Below, you should see your platform (e.g., Win or Mac) followed by the long version number of the Flash player.
WIN 11,2,202,233
If you don't see any results above, then you will need to download and install the free Flash player.
Please remember, this site requires version 6 or higher of the Flash player (the first number in the long version above is the player version).
If you haven't yet upgraded your system to version 7, we suggest that you consider doing so. It offers better performing audio and video streaming in the LetsTalk forums.
