Can't get Java to work

Hi, Guys! I need some help:
I've installed K-Meleon but Java does not work....
It correctly works on IE 5.0 (this means it's installed and should be working with K-Meleon??)
In addition, I downloaded JRE 1.1 from sun site and installed it but it still does not work..
If I write about:plugins it only shows Acrobat reader, shockwave and K-Meleon default plugin....
By the way, I'm Running WIN'98 SE
Can you help?

You want JRE 1.3 from Sun's website. The one working in IE5 is most likely M$'s outdated JVM.

I tried..somethings wrong with the Java page going to start the download after selecting United States version..I can click the international version..but not US..

I have win98se...I have IE6.0 and Java is installed but somethings wrong with that too..

AHH...anyone got any ideas?

I could install java 1.3.1 but copied the dll files in the plugin directory.
this must be the kplugin directory. Take that in mind.
