I just started using KM 75. Everytime I click on and link or shortcut KM75 always opens minimized. How can I make it always open maximized?

What value did you change so that the new page opens full sized?

In general you should maximize it and close. Next time it should start maximized.

Open about:config and check that pref:

kmeleon.display.maximized

is set to true.

If not - toggle it.

Or better: hit F2 > GUI > at startup

(or could it be the out-of-box setting is accidentally minimized?)

That's interesting case:

GUI radiobutton in position 'As on exit' just clears pref

kmeleon.display.maximized

and it will load default value from browser\defaults\preferences\kmeleon.js which is false - unless you maximixe window by hand. Then it should restart maximized.

So the easiest way is to edit kmeleon.js changing line 92 to:

pref("kmeleon.display.maximized", true);

Or add corresponding line to user.js in profile:

user_pref("kmeleon.display.maximized", true);

?? If you want ALWAYS maxizmized, just set in the GUI the radiobutton to: "Maximized Always" instead of "as on Exit"

My new windows actually open maximized, but blank (either black or white depending on the page), then I must minimize, then maximize the page to have it appear. It has done thes since km74, but not on previous editions. I'm using Vista.

Sounds familiar, but thought that's long since fixed... but others know better. Perhaps you're on an old version? (If yes, make a backup of the profile folder before updating, the latest version is 75.1RC)

Anyway, does it get better if you go to "about:config" (Edit>Configuration>Browser Configuration)
Confirm the warning if one appears
Type "restore" into filter line, and toggle that pref to "false"

I am using 75.1. I didn't save any profiles when I used Revo uninstaller to uninstall the previous version, yet the problem persists.
