Where is the file that carries the urls of the sessions (last session, saved sessions) in clear text?
The file, "sessions.json", in your profile has the information in plain text.
Thanks ... btw: if often saving sessions, that files seems to get really huge ... Could it be that this is slowing down K-Meleon? (Just a question!)
AFAIR sessions was moved from prefs.js to the jason file because the later does not slow or slows much less.
Googled the problem. Loading json objects of 38 MB is limit for FF GRE on a 8 GB RAM machine. Good handling around 1.5 MB jason. IMHO that is far less the we use/talk about here.

No idea about speed, but having TONS of sessions myself, they bloat extremely my old KM1.6 prefs.js up to 1.6MB - it's a mess inside! Always strongly wished to have them separate, and only store settings in prefs.js. Glad that is possible now, although not yet for my machine ;-)
