Is there any way to make the Menu bar hide and only show with the Alt key, as in Firefox?

Have you tried View>Toolbars>Menu?
Then again, no, ALT alone doesn't pop it up, but the Alt-Keys work anyway (Alt+V = View menu etc.)

You can "move out" of sight the toolbar, as I do and you save that toolbar height space.

Just unlock the toolbars (view menu) and drag the menu toolbar to the right most possible possition near to another toolbar.

Then with just a click in the arrow, it will popup.

Need a Like Button

Yeah I know it's an age old brilliant trick in KM, but still forget it from time to time *shame*.
And wouldn't that be the PERFECT out-of-box setting for the menu bar?? It takes almost no space, yet the people who desperately seek it can easily find it! Please make it so... :cool:

It wasn't a problem years ago, but, now, sites get a lot of height with fixed horizontal bars, navigation menus and others.

I'm even considering to remove the title bar for normal browsing. I can't, but the fact is that, now, most of the times, I browse in full screen :/

When did 768px become so tiny screen height :/

Maybe a button in a fashion "Opera style" to bring up the menu toolbar/bar/menu collection might be a good skinning choice. Similar to bookmarks button.
