No History button in KM 75.1

*Windows 7 64-bit*

Just updated from KM 1.5.4 to KM 75.1 (portable).

Everything is working as expected with one exception: I can't seem to get a HISTORY (View History) button / icon to appear and function on any toolbar.

Using (and like) the Default theme, and CTRL+H brings up the History dialog, but I had a toolbar button adjacent to HOME in KM 1.5.4 and I want it back.

Tried Edit/Config/Toolbars but nothing works. I'm sure it's something simple, but -- I'm missing it!

Any thoughts? Thanks!

It's there, just at another place: Left of the gear button ;-)
Looks like a light-gray clock.
If you want it back at the old place, you can move it inside toolbars.cfg

Cool. Only: gear button? In what toolbar? Any chance you can post a screencap?

Thanks!

OK OK I found it: it's part of the Browser Configuration toolbar, which is... odd.

Now to figure out how to move it to the Main bar where it belongs...

Thanks!

It's just text, simply move the text lines elsewhere like you would move some lines in a word document.

1) Start in browser menu: Edit > Configuration > Toolbars (=opens toolbars.cfg in Notepad or similar)
2) Use your Notepad's search function to look for "History"
3) Highlight the 6 six lines for this button, right-click and cut (or CTRL+X)
4) Place the mouse at the other place where you prefer that button, right-click and paste (or CTRL+V)
- save and restart browser

%ifplugin macros
History{
macros(Places_History)|Histor&y
View History. Right-click for more options.
}
%endif

PS, just curious:
Which features do you like or dislike about K-Meleon?

I find that with javascript disabled, KM is by far the fastest browser (even vs 64-bit Opera) for graphics-heavy sites like IMGUR, FLICKR and such.

What I don't like is that I've never managed to get extensions/addons to work anywhere near as cleanly as with Firefox, which I use for general surfing.

Thanks again.

Why hello again. Wondered if the Hive Mind could solve a similar configuration issue for me with KM 75.1 under Windows 7:

I would like to remove / disable the image context menu item RELOAD and again I can't figure out how. The term appears in a few cfg files but commenting the lines out doesn't seem to do it -- at least not that I can figure out.

If it can't be done, can the menu be re-ordered so that the first (top) image context menu item is VIEW?

That'd be great.

?THX?

Would not delete it completely, or it's not there when you need it.
To move it lower, you can open main.kmm and change this line:
setmenu(ImageView,macro,"&Reload Image",JS_reloadImage,ID_VIEW_IMAGE);
into
setmenu(ImageView,macro,"&Reload Image",JS_reloadImage,-1);

General tip for everyone, most menu lines are defined in menus.cfg, some in macros (*.kmm), and a few by plugins. The quickest way to find something is a normal windows search for the visible item name inside files. The only trick is knowing to add a & before underlined characters if that's in the middle of a word.

Thanks - that did the trick well enough. I'd searched the entire KM directory for instances of "Reload" but never found the correct target -- because as you know and now I know too it's "&Reload" which makes this kind of thing simple for the Code Clueless like me. Or not. I think not. Yes: not.

:mad:

Thanks!
