I wold like to add some pictures and change colors of the km home page, I mean the page that shows in about:home.. Is it possible? How can I do it?

Just opening the preference panel shows you a field to change the home page for whatever page of your tastes.

Some users have made their own start page (with a bit of html knowledge, of course).
