When I accidentally right click and the context menu pops up, everything freezes for a few seconds. Usually maybe 5 seconds, but occasionally up to maybe 30. What's causing this? Using KM76.

By freeze, do you mean that you cannot left click somewhere and have the right click context menu disappear?

Not every time. Seems like only if I do it on accident.
It's the back, forward, stop...full screen menu.

Can't click anywhere else nothing until the freeze is over because the cursor is frozen. I wonder if it's waiting on the hard drive to read/write.

Such a freeze can be 'site-specific'

Some sites produce such an effect due to massive css overload.
I was faced with almost full freeze on livejournal.com, for example.

Try to find out if your case is defined by specific sites or not.

If the cursor stop moving that's probably not kmeleon fault.

It only happens with kmeleon.

Also it sometimes won't unfreeze until I press ctrl-alt-del, and as soon as I do (without going further) the context menu disappears and it unfreezes.

Anyone else have any idea what could cause this? Sometimes I can't ged rid of the context menu, and can't click on anything else because of it, so I have to kill KM in the task manager. This only happens in K-meleon.

Still suspect it may have to do with mousegestures, especially since Left-Drag? And recently stumbled upon a posting some weeks ago where some bug with the scrollbar in combination with gestures was reported, but not sure if remember that right.
Anyway, does it also happen if you disable gestures?

For some reason KM cannot draw menus while being heavily loaded. It starts from the 1.x times but wasn't solved for now...
