I'm new to K-Meleon, so this may have been discussed a thousand time and I just don't know it, but how do I prevent Zinc Ads from popping up on certain site in K-Meleon?
I have installed AdBlock, although I don't see the logo in the tool bar.
I have checked "block pop-ups" and "block advertisements," which seems to work on most pages.
I have run Malwarebytes and it cannot locate an "infection." nor do any of the Zinc Ad toolbar tells show up in the registry.
But still Zinc Ads' nasty little pop-up keeps showing up on one site. I click it down (of course!) but it never goes away. It just sits there, docked to the bottom of the page.
How do I get rid of such intrusive, unwanted junk?
Do you run the basic adblock or the addon named AdblockPlus? How did you install it? Also it might help to know which version of K-Meleon that you are using.

I may have solved the problem -- inadvertently, I admit.
I searched for a popup blocker that would work with all browsers, and found Google AdBlocker.

I downloaded it -- it's a zipped file -- unzipped it, opened the installer file, double-clicked on the installer, and haven't seen the Zinc Ad popup since.
I don't know if it's working in conjunction with AdBlock, or in place of it, but it's working, and that's what I wanted.
I am using K-Meleon 75.1.
The version of AdBlock I installed came from K-Meleon's forums: 1.3.9
I would prefer not to post the site the problem was occurring on for reason relating to personal privacy. No offense intended; I just want to maintain my anonymity there.
Well, dang. It's back. Google AdBlock apparently only blocked Zinc Ads on the first page I opened.
Zinc Ads is know malware. There has to be some way to block it!
Did a little bit research, and sounds like a virus on your computer?

what is your version of K-Meleon? AdBlock 1.3.9 doesn't work with KM 74 or newer. See corresponding thread for AdBlock packages for KM 75 and 75.1
