K-Meleon unable to update Cisco-Phone-Adaptor
Date: February 11, 2016 09:09AM
Had to update the firmware of a cisco SPA112 ... first tried several times with K-Meleon; it always failed ... Then did with NetCaptor (setting up on MSIE7/8) without flaw ... it was successful at first attempt ... Where's the problem?

Cannot say more than I've updated firmware for several routers (or ADSL-modems) without any problem.
How do you connect to your Cisco? IP-address, etc.?

Configuration: Network among them a WAN-Router with DHCP-Server, several PCs, among them a notebook running WinXP that is connected to the same hub/switch as the Cisco-SPA112.
For updating the Cisco the browser was started (on the one hand K-Meleon and on the other NetCaptor (what is a multitab-surface for MSIE) on the same PC).
So going to phone-adaptor-webfrontend, chosing firmware file, and starting update. With K-Meleon after 98% it ends with "firmware update failed" (tried 2x); as with NetCaptor it ends with "firmware updated successfully" at first attempt.

All I can suspect is that your Cisco needs IE for some reason.
Or may be web-interface is based on some type of 'timeouted' JS. Try to change the pref 'dom.max_script_run_time' to some value (in seconds) reflecting the real time of firmware update process - and see if this changes anything.
Or try another instance of KM instead - just to clear things up.
